Welcome to the Patchway Town Council Home Page

In 2003 Patchway celebrated having its own Council for 50 years. In 1953 it was created from a Ward of Almondsbury Parish Council. In 1997 Patchway Town Council was created from Patchway Parish Council. Patchway Community College also celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2003.

Patchway is a town of 12,000 population which stretches from Filton Airfield in the south to the M5 in the north. The A38 and the railway line run through Patchway from north to south. Traditionally, many residents worked in the aircraft industry but in the last 20 years there has been a huge development of alternative employment opportunities with the creation of Aztec Business Park and Woodlands Park to supplement Patchway Trading Estate. The Mall and other retail outlets at Cribbs Regional Shopping Centre have also provided employment as well as shopping and leisure facilities on Patchway's doorstep.

Patchway is well served by educational establishments. We have our own High School and five primary schools. Filton College and the University of the West of England are within easy reach and Bristol City Centre is only five miles to the south.

You will see in the various sections of this site the range of leisure opportunities, including Patchway Sports Centre which is located in the grounds of Patchway High School. Also a wide range of interest groups for all ages and advice and support services for every need.

We hope you will enjoy the site and your comments on improving it will always be welcome. You can contact us via e-mail at clerk@patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk
