Southern Brooks Community Partnership

The Southern Brooks Community Partnership (formerly known as Patchway and Bradley Stoke Community Development Project) was set up over 12 years ago as a partnership between the community associations in Patchway, Bradley Stoke and Northavon Community Council.  In 1999  the project became a registered charity and our core funding is th through a service commisssion with South Gloucestershire Council and grant funding from both Patchway and Bradley Stoke Town Council.The project has a management committee of Council Members and local people and we are always keen to hear from anyone who lives in the towns and would like to get involved.  Membership is FREE and open to any individual or group that takes place in the two towns.

Our main priorities are working with children and young people,helping families,bringing people together through arts and helping people get organised.  Community development is about working with local people to help them identify issues that concern them and to find local answers to local issues.  Priorities for our woker are supporting young people, young families, providing opportunities for people to work together through community arts projects and building up a strong community sector.   The project offers hands on support,while the project firmly believes in people taking responsibility and in empowering people we are also able to go one step further - to provide a management framework when needed that enables things to happen.   The Co-ordinator for the project is Julie Snelling.
